Rainbolts’ Book Store, Naenae, 1970Words matter.
Always have.
Many years ago my grandparents opened a store in Naenae, Wellington. The name on the door was Rainbolts’ Book Shop.
Those books often made their way back to the house, a continuous curation of this and that and everything in between. Even a huge collection of National Geographics going back to the 60’s.
Growing up surrounded by all these books, I learned that words are magic. They can teleport you. They can change how you think about something. And the really good ones? They flip that switch in your brain where you don’t zone out, but zone in.
Fast forward... and I’ve spent nearly two decades helping brands elevate their customer experience, fuelled by a love of language. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in Gothenburg, New York, & London, and before that, cut my teeth in the industry in Mount Maunganui. Today Auckland is home.
What I’ve learned is that big business or small, the pattern is always the same: get the words right, and they’ll do an incredible amount of the heavy lifting.
